I had been looking for the 2010 census data last year but didn’t have much luck. So I greatly appreciate John sending me a saved web page with some info.
The “some other race” people increased 700% from 3 in 2000 to 24 in 2010:
Some Other Race | 3 | 24 | +700.00% |
And Jose wasn’t even counted.
Out of 1,289 people, 1,198 are white. That’s 93%, down from 96% in 2000.
While the total population increased almost 50% from 867 to 1,289, we had a DECLINE of younger people.
Watch out for those old folks!
Males:
60 to 64 years | 58 | 102 | +75.86% |
65 to 69 years | 87 | 95 | +9.20% |
70 to 74 years | 40 | 100 | +150.00% |
75 to 79 years | 25 | 88 | +252.00% |
80 to 84 years | 22 | 25 | +13.64% |
85 years and over | 10 | 18 | +80.00% |
Females:
60 to 64 years | 50 | 91 | +82.00% |
65 to 69 years | 52 | 103 | +98.08% |
70 to 74 years | 30 | 77 | +156.67% |
75 to 79 years | 23 | 44 | +91.30% |
80 to 84 years | 16 | 13 | -18.75% |
85 years and over | 8 | 12 | +50.00% |
Of course these statistics aren’t that accurate because we have lots of part-timers living here and not everybody provides accurate info.
