We’ve been buying locally grown tomatoes from Roger, in the 2-story house by the RV Park. He often has his sign out, currently for tomatoes:
They are NOT organic as he uses chemical fertilizer, but they’re definitely a LOT better than the store bought tomatoes. You can see that they’re starting to crack from the heat, but you get a bag for $3 and I’m guessing that’s about 2 lbs.
We’re still eating our cherry and grape tomatoes from last year’s plants, overwintered in the greenhouse. Unfortunately we’re not harvesting nearly enough since we love tomatoes and the new plants just started to flower.
While we prefer organically grown food, we definitely take locally grown over Big Ag store bought.
