Black widows are rampant around here and I’ve never considered them to be much of a threat. A friend got bitten once and he was in a LOT of pain for several days.

I really dislike all spiders, but tend to leave them alone outside. Unlike the big brown spiders, black widows don’t move around much, stay in their corner with their web, rarely come inside and I usually only see them at night.
