Yesterday I lost my DSL connection. I unplugged the modem, restarted the computer and nothing helped. I finally called Frontier and after the usual tedious unplug the modem routine, the guy apparently realized that they had moved to a new server. In the process, they changed my Frontier (not the wireless) password. This might have been because my 4 digit password was too short — don’t know.
So I had to connect to the modem directly with the ethernet cable, update the password and it worked again.
Then I couldn’t send mail and I finally got that fixed last night.
I sure find it odd that Frontier didn’t even bother to notify me that they changed my password.
