I stopped by the market today and according to Gary, the current owner, Gas & Grub is supposed to close escrow on 9/4. It may be a while until the market reopens and gasoline and diesel are available again.
ICurrently Gary is selling the remaining food inventory at 50% off. There is some canned food, chips, etc.
I also heard that a Dollar General store will open next to Canyon’s End at the bed & breakfast that never opened. I hope that’s not true. When I moved here, I was looking for a place with NO franchises. No McDonald’s, no Motel 6. I don’t even know how a Dollar General store would make it in Meadview. I’m sure I’d shop there occasionally, but it would definitely take away from the entire area.
I wish they never finished paving Stockton Hill.
