We’ve had such a MILD winter, we’re getting ready to move tomatoes and squash to the hoophouse where it’s as cold as outside at night.\u00a0 In fact, we already have volunteer squash and\/or melons growing on our compost pile and it looks like the first flowers will open any day now.\u00a0 They were covered with plastic until last week to help keep the compost moist, but I finally took the plastic off so that insects can pollinate the flowers.<\/p>\n
Our little greenhouse stays 5 – 8 or so degrees warmer and it’s already FULL with peppers, tomatoes and eggplant from last year as well as many seedlings.<\/p>\n
It’s amazing how everything is growing already!<\/p>\n
