MEADVIEW — The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office is trying to put together a puzzle over the shooting of two men found wounded in a motel room in Meadview late Sunday night.
According to Trish Carter, spokeswoman for the sheriff’s office, Gregory Richard Brochar, 47, and David Henry Belcher, 32, both of Henderson, Nev., were found on the floor around 11:30 p.m. Sunday, each suffering gunshot wounds.
Both were treated at the scene by Lake Mohave Ranchos Fire Department medical personnel and flown to University Medical Center in Las Vegas.
Carter said authorities are trying to determine if the shootings were the product of a dispute between the two men, if a third party was involved or if other circumstances were involved. A gun was recovered at the scene, she said.
Anyone with any information regarding the incident is asked to contact Mohave County Sheriff’s Office at 928-753-0753 or Mohave County Silent Witness at 928-753-1234.
I’ve heard that they may have shot each other and that they refused to provide any info.
And for people not in the area, The Place is not a motel open to the public, but it’s leased by a tour company that transfers tourists going to Grand Canyon West (Skywalk) from the nicer buses coming from Vegas into old buses to go up to the Hualapai reservation.
