The Kingman Clean City Commission, in partnership with Mohave County ERACE, will host a community cleanup from 7:30 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Mohave County Fairgrounds.

Ultimate Shred will be at the fairgrounds from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. to destroy paper documents at no cost. No cardboard or plastic.

This cleanup is free and open to all members of residential households in Kingman and neighboring areas of Mohave County. Trailers longer than 12 feet will not be accepted; nor will and trash or yard waste from commercial haulers.

Participants must be in line by noon. The following items are accepted: Bagged household trash, yard debris, mattresses, carpet, household furniture, lumber, windows, small appliances, electronic items (including TVs and computers), washers and dryers, dishwashers, cardboard, plastic, glass and tires without rims.

Items that may be recycled include: metal (including most metal appliances), bicycles, bed frames, aluminum siding, fencing, and barbecue grills without propane tanks.

The following items will not be accepted: Un-bagged trash (such as loose dirt, leaves, animal waste or garbage), trash or yard waste of any kind from commercial businesses and landscapers, tires with rims, motors, or transmissions.

Also, no hazardous waste, including propane tanks; items with Freon, such as refrigerators, air conditioning units or coolers; anti-freeze, oil, paint, pesticides, chemical fertilizers, household and car batteries, cleaners and polishes; or any other toxic or corrosive items.
