While it’s officially open until 1:30 PM,  we’ve arrived around 12:30 on previous occasions and were turned away because the line was so long.  They gave us a coupon for the dump in Chloride, but it sucked having to drive all the way out there. So get there early and bring a book to read or something to listen to while waiting in line.

Roving Dumpster

The Kingman Clean City Commission is pleased to announce that the next Roving Dumpster Clean-up will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2011 from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Mohave County Fairgrounds. It is recommended that you arrive no later than 1:00 p.m. This clean-up is free of charge and is open to all members of residential household in Kingman and Mohave County.

The Roving Dumpster clean-up will be accepting the following items: Bagged household trash, yard debris, mattresses, carpet, household furniture, small appliances, electronic items including TVs and computers, cardboard, plastic, glass, and tires without rims. Items that may be recycled include: metal, including most metal appliances, aluminum siding, bicycles and barbeque grills without propane tanks.

The clean-up will not accept unbagged trash (loose dirt, leaves, animal waste/garbage), trash of any kind from commercial businesses, yard waste from landscaping businesses, tires with rims, appliances with Freon, and hazardous items such as water and oil based paints, anti-freeze, motor oil, propane tanks, solvents, pesticides, household batteries, chemical fertilizers, cleaners and polishes, and any other product labeled: Caution, warning, danger, poison, toxic, flammable, combustible, or corrosive.

Additionally from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. Ultimate Shred will be providing paper and document shredding services on site for all clean-up customers.
