When I was going to Kingman yesterday a tow truck tried to pull a fuel truck out of the desert around mile 19.  It didn’t look to me like that was going to work.

Five hours later, Unisource had replaced the power pole and they were pumping the fuel out of the tanker.

Didn’t see anything about it at the Miner, but sure would like to know what happened.  Was the driver texting?

Update:  The Miner published an article, stating that the cause of the accident had not been determined.

The driver of the tanker on the right was carrying 8,000 gallons of diesel fuel when, for unknown reasons, he left Stockton Hill Road north of Kingman and crashed into a power pole Tuesday. (GLENDA ERWIN/Courtesy)
